Investor Watch is a not-for-profit company established to align capital markets with the goal of social and ecological sustainability. It is the parent, or umbrella, organisation of the Fish Tracker Initiative.
Investor Watch was established as a non-profit company by Mark Campanale and Nick Robins in 2009 to align capital markets with the goal of social and ecological sustainability. The first project of Investor Watch was the Carbon Tracker Initiative, which led to the release of the Unburnable Carbon report in July 2011 and the Wasted Capital and Stranded Assets report in April 2013. In February 2014, the Carbon Tracker Initiative Limited was incorporated as non-profit subsidiary to help formalise Carbon Tracker’s research programme and set the stage for Investor Watch to focus on a number of other projects to track natural capital.
The Fish Tracker initiative is the second project of Investor Watch. Additional projects, using the same or similar methodology to Carbon Tracker, are planned for forests, agriculture and water.
Investor Watch is registered in the UK at Companies House as a not-for-profit company, registration number 06888857.
